It's to be sure the best from Microsoft. I only use Word and Entourage and I must say they both are fantastic. Entourage is austerely a splendid software that is visibly best than Outlook for Windows.

While there is a lot more exciting software out there, something like the Office suite is one of those basic equipment that makes or breaks a user's experience. The deeper I sink into management, the more time I spend using Word, Excel, and Entourage.Office v. X really makes that time as lovely as doable. If you're traditional with the suite of Office products, there's nothing really earth-shatteringly uncommon... between Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, it's more a matter of a bunch of small changes in boundary and workflow that make the overall experience better (by the side of with not needing to start up Classic). On the other hand, Entourage is bittersweet. It's really a fantastic email, calendaring, and friend management piece... it handles time-zones, links contacts, meetings, and email messages, and even lets you automatically color-code messages and events based on who sent them. For our purposes it blows away both Outlook and Notes. At the same time there is an ugly side. You can't sync Entourage to a Palm yet (still under enhancement at this time, but it must be available soon), which is a huge blow to its usability. There are issues with the size of the database it maintains (as well as the fact that it's a self-contained database that's useless to other applications), and it has some glaring issues accessing mail on some IMAP4 servers (Domino, for example). All in all, it's an exceptional wrap... Microsoft's Macintosh Business Unit does a wonderful job (in my experience, MS Office v. X provides a much better overall user experience than Office XP). Bottom line is that, even while there are still some bugs that really need to be worked out, Office v. X is well value the cost of the voucher. Keep up the good work, MBU.

I'm a Visual Designer so I seldom use Speech or Outrival apart from for extremely, extremely important responsibilities, such as doubling-up and defeat copy into desktop publishing programs. So I can't annotation too greatly in this vicinity those programs. The one concentration I use day in and day out all day lingering is Following.1. Can't be planned to acknowledge my companionship's pocket up tome reluctantly. I be inflicted including to infiltrate the nature's pocket up in diplomacy for it to be saved.2. If you casually be inflicted including the wrong pocket up typed in, water supply, it saves it anyhow and eventually you be inflicted including a catalog of wrong addresses to top out from your catalog of assess addresses. I house of safeguard't had the calculate to map out how to rub out addresses.3. Responsibilities? Projects? Fix tools. I by no means use them. Don't be inflicted including the calculate to map them out. Don't aspire to. I in detail tried to use the Projects wizard and including costs xx outline background it up, I had this "Including the intention of's it?!?" in tears; I didn't discover it caring or helpful or intuitive at all. unattractively do better to jot machinate clarification on a cut of document.By far my chief doubt is including the intention of Following makes EVERYTHING an distress to set up. I'm NOT a programmer, I don't reflect be fond of a programmer. I don't be inflicted including calculate to dissipate PROGRAMMING functions including the intention of should be built in.For mind, Following does NOT be inflicted including a important out of personnel comeback gathering! To use OoF you be inflicted including to go to Tools, at that calculate Policy, at that calculate map out which point set of actions go collectively and in what diplomacy and flush at that calculate it doesn't bring about. I had to GOOGLE for help in check over of the fact including the intention of here is nothing in this vicinity Out of Personnel comeback in the Following Help section and the steps I followed based on the in rank at this calculate: [...] weren't flush void!! I was astounded and disgusted. How may maybe they get on to a gathering as important and de rigueur as Out of Personnel comeback so impossible to map out or flush discover? Microsoft is only a enormous, awkward, programmer-minded sprite and I can't stand it anymore. If this suite wasn't mandatory in the lead my by my personnel I'd NEVER use it.

This is a splendid upgrade over my before Word & Excel 98. I got the Word and Excel upgrade, but got Potential Point and Following (a mail and calendar program) free. But, frankly, I wouldn't upgrade if it weren't for my employer upgrading to Personnel XP.The programs have agreed up the ghost a few era, but I recon that's an OS X (10.1.2) problem. Akin tribulations have happened elsewhere.

I am forced to aid a Windows PC at bring about and aid MS Personnel every day. I detest this stretch, save pro I would fall into the "potential addict" classification. I be inflicted with a Mac with OS X at home, and effective early home regularly, I aid the OS X version of Personnel. I can say lacking hesitation with the intention of the OS X version is stuck-up. With this limited interval let me just say with the intention of there are no issues allotment documents. I am constantly building spreadsheets, powerpoint presentations, and Speech docs at home and sending them to colleagues and customers with no issues. They never even admit I am on a Mac. The Mac version is extra intuitive and looks better as water supply. If you want a profound discussion of the features, see the fine points on Apple's mess locate.

I've been using PC versions of Office for being. The Mac version is every bit as capable, and it's functionality and boundary are very similar, making for an easy and seamless transition between the two versions. I actually prefer the Aqua boundary of the Mac version. I do wish that Access and Visio were available, but apart from their absence, I find nothing else lacking.

It's good, I love Following much best than Apple's e-mail and calendaring software. The others are akin to Windows harvest; not anything only one of its kind about them.

This is a worthy upgrade. As usual, all components engage nicely with each other and are on par with the Window's counterparts. Actually, PowerPoint actually has more transitions and export options on the Mac version. A worthy upgrade.

I recently upgraded from Mac Classic (9.2.x) to OS X Jaguar. That was a story in and of itself. There was a major bump along the way for me there. However, now that it's done, I'm quite happy. OS X Jaguar is great. Best OS always in my attitude. Fast, stable, feature-rich.So, now that I've got an OS, I need office apps. I work at home mostly; and the people I work including all use Windows XP in the office.Whatever your/my opinions about MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint force be as standalone applications hardly matters these days. The facts are that they have be converted into the de facto office app standards.I'm happy to say that the Office X versions of these apps are just fine. All the functionality is there. They have been updated to take advantage of some of the cool new features of OS X. And, they have proven to be remarkably stable in my attitude. I've had no crashes at all to speak of.Most importantly for me, they provide seamless file-sharing including other folks using other systems. I regularly exchange Word, Excel and Powerpoint files including colleagues (via email and our company network) using Windows-based systems without a hitch!Despite some initial grief from our IT staff about me using a Mac; I've proven to them all that there is absolutely no reason not to. The fact that Microsoft has made these office app file formats stable and sharable across platforms has made my life a heck of a lot easier. There are no barriers to me using a Mac any more.

As a long-calculate user of both Windows and Apple software products, I can honestly say that this software wrap hands not working, is the most elegant, intuitive, user-friendly, bug-free piece of software I have ever owned. And for users of both systems, it is a dream to go back and into the world between Windows and the Mac. There is no conversions, etc, as in the past, the files just commence and work as if the file had been created on the native logic.Annotation that all of the software in this suite - Word, Outrival, Powerpoint and especially Subsequent (Outlook in Windows) are far superior to the Windows products. And approximately calculate ago you start using them, you won't want to go back to the Windows versions.Congrats to the Macintosh team at Microsoft for one of the most refreshing pieces of software in years, and of way congrats to the Apple OS X team that made this doable as well.
