ACT! by Sage Premium for Workgroups 2007 Upgrade Reviews

My company purchased this software as an upgrade from Act 6.0. That version was buggy, but this one is absolutely unusable. After four months and countless hours and dollars of tiresome to get just minimal functionality out of it, we are charitable up on this software and replacing it. What a waste!Workstations run much slower with this software installed (memory upgrades did not help). When we checked into the conundrum with the vendor, we were told it is a "known come forth" and there is no estimated date for a patch. The list itself runs so at a snail's pace (on a brand-new laptop with tons of memory) that it's basically impossible to use it for its projected purpose. If I get a call from a client, I can not dredge up looking up the client and compelling clarification while discussion to him. The buzz call will be over by the time the lookup is concluded. Even for a important buzz digit lookup, by the time I get the digit I have often over and done why I needed to call someone.Don't need lookups to be fast? By no means fear, this manufactured goods has lots of other ways to make you miserable. Dependability a mail merge is everlastingly a delight - will it blow my logic this time? Synchronizing among multiple copies of a list? Don't estimate your templates to coordinate every time. If you don't sync often ample, reminders pop up every 5 summary; if you don't see the reminder and hit "OK" soon ample (or coordinate, which takes forever even over a high-speed network), your entire laptop or workstation will mill to a complete halt.I shy away when I grasp I have to open Act! to get a in tears done. I by no means use it if I have any uncommon. I am pretty tolerant of buggy software; not anything's perfect and the grown-up versions of Act! were not anything special. But I am really shocked that Sage let this mess onto the promote in such a condition.Do yourself a huge favor; if you are compelling into account buying this manufactured goods, buy whatever business else. It could not maybe be of poorer quality than Act! by Sage Premium for Workgroups. This is one cut of software that beyond skepticism desires that "not reliable for guarantee destruction" in the user contract.

It in fact deserves no stars. Our companionship, an American worldwide corporation, bought this manufactured goods for one of our departments in Brazil and never expected valid installation codes in order to make it work. After a 30 day trial and schooling of all our users, we had to stop all work since the reseller for Latin America didn't offer any help and the developer showed no appeal in examination our complaints. This behavior for a manufactured goods paid in full 15 days before to the close of the trial cycle. Be set to face tremendous harms if you need help. Our last attitude is: good manufactured goods for your home, if you can in fact hear it. Not travelable for corporations, judging by their horrendous consumer benefit, the worst I saw in my full certified life.

DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK SOFTWARE! Wretched...here's no way almost it. I have to initiation here. And that's the best part of my assess. This is without a doubt, the buggiest "software" (I use that term in quotation marks in view of the fact that real software, um...let's see...WORKS). The customer benefit is the pledge most terrible. They want to payment you cash to tech in their awful software. The MYSQL boundary burns each income business in its path. My 9 year old nephew may maybe enter best code. Let's run owing to: Customer Benefit? Non-extant. Manufactured goods? Doesn't load. Won't load. Can't load. At random stops loading. The only business this nonsense does consistently is slow my machine down to a crawl when effective. And I have a custom build Intel Core 1-7 980 Greatest Journal PC with three levelheaded disorder drives on a RAID 0. It factually doesn't get closer than that. But when in succession ACT!, my super-machine feels like a Commodore 64. Delight, for the love of God, DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. You will dissipate more time tech'ing this software, fighting it, re-inputting all your data over-and-over-and-over-and-over over again. As a sales tool, I've lost so much cash. It factually is THE WORST SOFTWARE EVER CREATED.

What a nightmare this product is. I can't believe Sage released this. If I could give it negative 5 stars I would. DO NOT BUY THIS!! My computer runs slower than it did including 6.0. When we converted the facts from 6.0 (on it's own, this is a special brand of hell), it didn't bring over in cooperation phone numbers for contacts!!! THIS IS A CONTACT DATABASE! YOU NEED YOUR CONTACT PHONE NUMBERS! Getting the database set up on our ma?tre d'h?tel took hours and hours of time on the phone including the tech helpline. Even they had trouble.In 6.0, you could cut and paste items into the history and notes tab and then edit them. When you paste into the tabs now, it's treated as a picture and can't be edited. 2007 didn't convert over our print templates and we had to build them by hand. NIGHTMARE!DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
